At Vengeance Foundation, we believe that every emerging artist deserves a chance to exhibit their work—regardless of financial background, experience level, or connections. Through our flagship program, Weeks of Vengeance, we provide artists with free exhibition space, mentorship, and promotional support to help them launch their careers.
But how do we choose which artists get this opportunity? Here’s an inside look at our application process, selection criteria, and commitment to fair access.
1. The Application Process: Open & Accessible
We keep our application process simple and artist-friendly, ensuring that emerging artists can apply without barriers.
How to Apply
- Artists submit an online application detailing their work and exhibition proposal.
- A panel of curators, mentors, and past program artists reviews each submission.
- Selected artists are contacted and provided with a free exhibition slot at Youthful Vengeance.
There are no application fees, hidden costs, or pay-to-play requirements. If an artist is selected, their show is fully funded.

2. Who Qualifies?
We focus on supporting local, emerging artists who are at a pivotal stage in their careers.
- Emerging Artists – Artists in the early stages of their careers who have talent and dedication but limited exhibition experience. They may have recently graduated, transitioned into professional practice, or have yet to secure gallery representation.
- Local Creatives – Priority is given to artists based in Toronto and surrounding areas.
- Artists with Financial Need – We prioritize artists who would not otherwise be able to afford an exhibition.
- Underrepresented Voices – We actively seek artists from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and low-income artists.
By maintaining a fair and inclusive selection process, we ensure that Weeks of Vengeance reflects the diversity and vibrancy of Toronto’s art scene.
3. Fair Access & Representation in the Arts
The traditional art world favors those with resources—those who can afford exhibition fees, have connections, or can self-fund their careers. We reject that system.
At Vengeance Foundation, we:
- Eliminate financial barriers by offering free space and professional support.
- Select artists based on vision and creativity, not their ability to pay.
- Commit to equitable representation by prioritizing diverse and underrepresented voices.
Every artist we support brings something unique to the table, and through Weeks of Vengeance, we help turn talent into opportunity.
