Team up for a week-long exhibition in the heart of downtown Canada
Weeks of Vengeance is a platform for emerging Toronto artists, offering mentorship and collaboration throughout the exhibition process. It provides essential experience, skills, and connections, preparing artists for real-world challenges and helping them thrive in their careers.

History & Impact
The Weeks of Vengeance program has its roots in the challenges faced by emerging artists. Founded in 2014, it was a response to the frustrations of countless rejections from curators and galleries, and a determination to forge our own career paths. The program sets out to create a platform that empowers artists, providing the tools and mentorship needed to navigate the art world successfully. In January 2024, the Weeks of Vengeance program resurfaced with a dynamic weekly challenge. This initiative aims to activate and showcase emerging local artists in Toronto by providing a platform for them to produce exhibitions and share their talent with the world. The program successfully produced 44 exhibitions with the collaboration of over 165 emerging artists. Through Weeks of Vengeance, we aim to address the gaps and obstacles faced by emerging talent, offering a collaborative and supportive environment. Our program is designed to help artists take control of their careers, providing them with the skills and confidence to persevere and thrive in the face of adversity. Since its inception, Weeks of Vengeance has become a beacon of hope and a launching pad for countless artists, fostering collaboration, mentorship, and the exchange of ideas. We are proud to be a driving force in shaping the next generation of artistic professionals.
We're here to create a platform where emerging local artists can learn, grow, and thrive through mentorship and collaboration.

Our mission is to empower artists by providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to navigate the art world and build successful careers. We believe in the transformative power of art and its ability to enrich lives and communities. Through meaningful partnerships with artists, organizations, galleries, and educational institutions, we create opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their work and connect with wider audiences.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to celebrating artistic milestones but also encouraging financial execution to thrive as a business. We provide a range of mentorship and collaboration opportunities through our program. This program is meant for early-stage artists ready to make their next meaningful commitment into their craft.
Core Values
How it works
This program is designed for emerging artists in Ontario with less than 3 years of professional experience. We welcome artists from all disciplines to apply. Performance-based artists can showcase their work on opening night, while visual artists will have their work displayed in the gallery for a week. Applicants must be dedicated to their craft, spending at least 24 hours a week on their art, and must submit new, previously unshown work. Your exhibition and publication CV should list at least three shows, excluding school exhibitions.
Applicants will be selected by a designated monthly curator. Emerging artists are encouraged to sell their pieces at affordable community prices.
Exhibition production will be guided by the curator's mentorship. Selected emerging artists will collaborate and adapt to challenges throughout the production process. Every step, from marketing to setup and event logistics, will involve active participation from the artists. The curator will lead and support the artists in completing this journey. This is a fast-paced production, and any artist unable to fully meet the curator's expectations will be promptly replaced. Participation requires dedication and the ability to keep up with the demanding pace. Artists must bring their best effort to ensure the success of the show.
We believe that celebration is a crucial aspect of artistic achievements. During Weeks of Vengeance, every Thursday night is dedicated to honoring emerging local artists. Join us for opening receptions from 7 PM to 10PM, featuring special performances and refreshments. The exhibition will continue throughout the week, giving the community ample opportunity to explore and appreciate the new works on display.
Testimonials
Weeks of Vengeance helped to organize a very important collection of my work and direction of my personal stye. Every exhibition hosted since has grown off the story formed in this space, developing a unique narrative for my audience.

I learned the importance of thinking about the audience experience of viewing art and in turn, methods of making the work as inclusive and accessible as possible. This was especially relevant to me because my project was narrative based, and required adequate context and wayfinding to have the greatest impact.

My experience with Week of Vengeance was my first ever solo exhibition! I'm grateful that Vengeance Foundation is providing this free opportunity for young and emerging artist like me to showcase my work! The environment was very welcoming!

It was a lovely experience. While showing my work and sitting the show, I saw so many different families and different groups of people wander in and visit. It is always helpful to have your art in front of the local community and especially helpful to have folks that may not make their way to a traditional gallery space.

Weeks of Vengeance gave me entry into the public art sphere, building my confidence and giving me a platform to experience a spotlight on my work, which was scary but enriching!
